Gang of Old Memories

***********************************Oh, this dreadful “gang of old memories”

Neither can it be trusted nor reconciled,

Out of the blue, anytime it strikes,

With all its havoc and there is nothing mild …

In they come with all their strength and vigor

And stay, yes they stay for a while

A conscious effort to resist also fails whatsoever

They do make sure, there remains no smile.

What should Virat Kohli do,to break Sachin’s records ?

Virat Kohli was included in the Indian team in 2008, but his performance and form have been spectacular in the last 4 years. Everytime, he is at the crease, his fans hope that he will make a century. He has perfomed extremely well across all formats now — first in the ODis & T-20s and now in the Test matches too. He performs with a lot of vigor and style. Secondly India has remained unbeaten under his captaincy, since June 2015. It has become the number one Test playing side. His win percentage is even better than Dhoni, the most successful skipper till now, that India has got. But all these must be putting a lot of drain and burden on him, physically and mentally. And that is a cause of worry for his fans, who are wishing that he should be able to break Sachin Tendulkar’s huge records in Tests and ODIs. At present,Virat’s performance is even better than Sachin, if we compare the records of the two giants at the same stage of the career. But, Sachin had the age factor working on his side. Virat does not have that. Sachin had finished playing 50 test matches by the age of 24, Virat is already 28. Sachin started playing international cricket when he was just 16 and continued it till his age 40. Virat started when he was 20. What I mean to say here is there is a big chance that Virat will start feeling weary and tired within the next 5 years, if he continues playing all formats of the game with the same vigor and also being a Captain in all formats. He can not break Sachin’s records if that happens as he will have to retire early, may be around his age 35 or 36, as his body will stop responding in the same agile manner as what it is doing right now. It is advisable that in a couple of years from now, he should stop playing T20s and also give up the captaincy in all 3 formats after the 2019 World cup, just focusing entirely in on his batting in the Test matches and ODIs. Then only he will stand a chance to break Sachin’s records of Highest number of runs and centuries in Tests and ODIs.

Entry of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

She is charismatic, prudent, calculative and matured. When her dad’s dead body arrived from Chennai in 1991, after being blown into pieces by a lethal suicidal bomb, she had the guts to keep herself very calm under such extremely unusual circumstances. It seems that now, after 32 months of almost a rival-less rule, Narendra Modi will have a strong opponent, whom he should surely taken keen notice of,if not getting scared rightnow. She has all the characteristics of late Smt.Indira Gandhi, the iron lady and ex Prime Minister of India, who singlehandedly dominated indian politics for 16 long years. Entry of Priyanka ji today into “active” politics, marks the beginning of a new era as such. It’s great news for the struggling Congress party, which has slowly travelled into almost a state of oblivion, under the impotent leadership of Mr.Pappu alias Rahul Gandhi. Bad news for all other rival parties, mainly the BJP.

How can one achieve “Repeated success” ?!!

In a recent TV interview, on being asked how he could retain the same amount of success, over a longer period of time, hitting centuries with such an ease, this was Virat Kohli’s reply :–” For that 3 things need to be done and they are not easy:– (1) Keep on doing the same kind of hardwork, day in and day out, again and again. Now saying that is easy, but when actually you try to do it, you start feeling bored and leave it in the middle. You need to control that “boredom” anyhow. (2) When you are “at your job”, you must be totally aware about what you are doing, highly focussed with all your senses exactly on where they need to be. That feeling of “total awareness” helps a lot if you want to dominate in your field of activity.(3) Never get swayed or flattered by whatsoever laurels being bestowed upon you. I just always think that it isnot me hitting those hundreds, it is some hidden divine force, that is doing it through me.” – Kamlesh Bhatt ( Author of “How to Succeed like Sachin Tendulkar” )In a recent TV interview, on being asked how he could retain the same amount of success, over a longer period of time, hitting centuries with such an ease, this was Virat Kohli’s reply :–” For that 3 things need to be done and they are not easy:– (1) Keep on doing the same kind of hardwork, day in and day out, again and again. Is nationalism on the rise all over the world?

The victory of Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton, in the US presidential elections, has heralded an entirely new era in World politics.

President-Elect Donald Trump giving his Victory speech in NewYork——————————Trump had become the symbol of a ideas which had a taste of “nationalism” in it. In fact, he deserves all the credit for being able to catch the very nerve of what was going on inside the minds of americans. He knew that the Obama administration had failed on some fronts, and that was very disturbing for a certain segment of the american public. He hit the nail on its head. Asking the people to give him the chance to “make America great again” he did manage to convince a lot of them, that America has lost its hold on world politics in the last few years. The Iran deal (which he called the worst deal in a century), the audicious Russian campaign in Syria where they support the Asad regime fighting incessantly for the last 5 years against the Rebels backed by the US and several others, gave a clear signal that America was losing its importance as a Super Power fast and something needed to be done on an urgent basis. Not just outside, even looking inside the US, there were several problems. So many refugees were being welcomed to the country and Trump was right when he said he will be very strict on seeing to it that it stops, as it may contain some terrorists and drug-mafias too within. His demand to build a wall on the US-Mexican border was also well received. Everyone knows that thousands of unidentified mexicans infiltrate into the US every year. They can be such persons, which the US Govt. does not desire to enter, like criminals, drug-mafias, etc. In short, Trump knew the exact frequency of that wave of public thought which the american minds were thinking upon. He capitalized upon that knowledge very well. Well done, Donald Trump !! Now you are the next boss. The next most important and most powerful person on this planet !!!Now that Trump is in and with a bang, what does it mean for world politics. Clearly, nobody can deny the fact that american politics affects heavily upon world politics and especially european politics. Let us consider Europe first.  Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor————————- General elections are very closeby now in Germany, the richest country in the European Union now. The chances of the Chancellor Angela Merkel to get re-elected are fading thick and fast. Why ? She has committed a huge blunder. In 2015, she announced her open door policy for the refugees, wherein any number of refugees can pour into Germany, in search of asylum !! Well, no doubt it was a very humane approach to those syrian muslims who were fleeing from their homeland, which was becoming more like a hellish place to live in, following the ongoing civil war there. Places like Aleppo, Holmes, Mosul are found to have a daily figure of atleast 40 to 50 dead in the civil war, either by bombing or by shooting. Well, all those forlorn and helpless people have travelled all the way from Syria to Germany, almost 4000 kms in search of a better tomorrow. It is very righteous on the part of the German Chancellor to decide to welcome all. But, that decision is not practical. Among the 1 million people estimated to have entered Germany in the last 2 years, there are chances that a large number of criminals, gangsters, terrorists also have entered. Rightnow they are silent but after some time, when they get settled, they will start showing their true colors. Overall, Germany is going to suffer due to this open door policy of Merkel. The newly formed AFD party ( Alternate fur Deutcheland ) knows this and they are benefitting the most from going totally against Merkel. It is

Who will win the IPL 2016?

With the Indian Premier League coming to its business end, anticipations about a likely winner are increasing. As of now the table looks like the below :–

  1. Sunrisers Hyderabad                13 matches  16 points
  2. Gujarat Lions                              13 matches   16 points
  3. Kolkata Knight Riders              13 matches   14 points
  4. Royal Challengers Bangalore  13 matches   14 points
  5. Mumbai Indians                         13 matches    14 points
  6. Delhi Daredevils                        13 matches    14 points
  7. Rising Pune SuperGiants         14 matches     08 points
  8. Kings XI Punjab                          14 matches    08 points

As of now, when I am typing this blog, there are only 3 matches left in the League stage. Barring the last two teams viz. Kings XI Punjab and Rising Pune SuperGiants, still the top 6 teams are in contention to qualify for the Play-offs ( Semi-finals). Any four of these six teams can qualify.

It looks from the present performance and the confidence level of the players that the table at the end of the league stage will look like this :–

  1. Royal Challangers Bangalore  14 matches 16 points
  2. Sunrisers Hyderabad                14 matches 16 points
  3. Kolkata Knight Riders              14 matches  16 points
  4. Mumbai Indians                        14 matches  16 points
  5. Gujarat Lions                             14 matches   16 points
  6. Delhi Daredevils                      14 matches    14 points
  7. Rising Pune SuperGiants        14 matches    08 points
  8. Kings XI Punjab                       14 matches     08 points

Inshort, although Gujarat Lions are rightnow on second spot, they are likely to miss the play-offs owing to better form of players from other teams. Because of the stunning form of Viral Kohli and A B DeViliers RCB is likely to top the league table although they are rightnow on 4th spot. When I am typing this blog the match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions has just begun. In that, Mumbai Indians is likely to win, looking at the law of averages. Although Gujarat Lions have won 8 games out of their 13 games, they willnot qualify, it seems because of their poor Run-rate, which is rightnow -0.48, the lowest among all top 6 teams.

Tomorrow in the penultimate match RCB will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad, and in that RCB is likely to win. If it doesnot win they are out but that is less likely. And in the last match, Delhi Daredevils are likely to lose against KKR.

It seems that in the Finals RCB will be playing against SunRisers Hyderabad. And in the end, I predict that SunRisers Hyderabad will win the IPL this year.

( All predictions are based on the law of averages and some complex calculations. If someone plays a bet on these predictions it is at their own risk. )

Have a nice day,

Kamlesh Bhatt.

The G7 summit in Germany

G7 summit in Germany
World leaders from 7 most powerful and rich nations have gathered today in the small German Bavarian Alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen for a G7 Summit. Leaders include US President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel ( both at centre ) and British Prime Minister David Cameron ( third from right ).

Leaders of rich nations of the world called the G7 group of nations, are rightnow meeting in the southern part of Germany. The small German Bavarian Alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is hosting this summit.

World leaders like President Barack Obama of the US, Chancellor Angela Merkel from Germany, British Prime Minister David Cameron, are among those who are participating in this summit.

The main issues which will be discussed in this summit are likely to be Global climate change, the annexation of Kramea by Russia, the ongoing civil war in Syria, and the threat posed to international peace by ISIS.

Protests against G7 global summit
Over 200 protestors took a long hike to reach the place where world leaders were having a G7 global summit at a small German Bavarian Alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Whilst this summit is going on in the southern part of Germany, some opposition has surfaced against it. Demonstrators have took to the streets of Germany to protest against this summit. Their primary demand is that world leaders should give the highest priority to global climate change, in this summit. They are also demanding that the monstrous issues of poverty and unemployment, should discussed at length in this summit. Some protestors are demanding that such summits shouldnot involve higher expenditures themselves.

Speaking at this summit, US President Barack Obama, said that “the current diplomatic relations between Germany and the US, have never been so good in last several decades”. He reiterated “the need for Russia to understand that it should behave like a friendly neighbor with Ukraine and never try to dominate over it, due to its huge size”. “The threat posed by ISIS in Iraq and Syria, is a major concern as on today”, he said. ” “Constant efforts should be made by scientists to understand and analyse world global climate change and governments round the world should follow the suggestions given by these intellectuals to stop the global weather from further changing from its normal patterns”, he added.

German Chancellor Merkel and British Prime Minister Cameron are yet to speak in this summit.

Who are we ? What is the objective of ourselves coming into this world ?

Yesterday I met a saint of Ramkrishna Ashram here in my city Rajkot. I asked him a few questions and he answered them to my satisfaction. My questions were generally regarding my daily life issues. Then, it was his turn to ask me.With a very quiet look on his countenance, he asked me, ” Son, why do you think you have come into this world ? What can be the motive ? Who are you ? Are you just this body or something more ? “

Who am I? Why have I come into this world?Where am I going ?
Who am I? Why have I come into this world?Where am I going ?
Who created me and for what reason ?
Who created me and for what reason ?

Obviously as an adult,I do have the ability to answer a few of his questions, but deliberately I remained silent as if I didn’t know the answers, as I wanted him to answer all of them. After a few seconds, I asked him,” Holy Saint, can you please answer the above questions yourself ? I would be very obliged, if you do so.” He asked me to come in the evening during his daily 1 hour monologue. I went down to the Ashram again in the evening. His lecture started at exactly 7 pm.

Swamiji, first talked about the condition of the country as of now, especially about the communal sentiment in the northern part of India. ( Generally, he picks up a current topic daily, in the beginning and yesterday was no change since Rahul Gandhi had raked up the Muzaffarnagar communal riots issue and accused his rival party BJP of instigating the riots in the city ).After talking briefly about communal harmony and peace, he gradually came up to the questions that he had asked me in the morning. He said, ” Who are all of us? Take for example a person called Rahul Sharma. Who is Rahul Sharma ? Is he just his body containing all the bones, muscles, blood, water etc. which is always within him and also his thoughts that exude out of his brain ? Or is he something more ? “
Paramatma - The Supreme Soul
Paramatma – The Supreme Soul
Lord Vishnu -- The caretaker of this entire Universe
Lord Vishnu — The caretaker of this entire Universe

He continued, ” Actually, we are much much more than that. All our external structure like our body, our looks are a very small part of what we actually are. We are all, an ” Atma” or a “Jivatma” , a Soul which is directly connected to the Paramatma ( God or supreme soul ), in a manner that there exists an invisible link with HIM, every moment, every second – while we inhale each and every breath inside. He takes care of all of his souls, which are basically a part of Himself, every day, every night, every moment. “

” Yogis have said with huge assertion that we all are a part of a grand design made by that Supreme Soul, and even if do wrong deeds in our lives HE never STOPS taking care of us. HE loves all his creatures so much that He would not let wrong things to happen to us.” After a small pause, he again spoke, ” Being the part of this Divine Soul, the SUPREME BEING, it is our duty to act according to the laws of nature that HE has made. These include, never do anything wrong with others. Never behave in an unrighteous manner with anyone. Never hurt anyone, physically, mentally or in any other way. Never lie. Never cheat or steal or confiscate things that do not belong to us.” The final objective of all humans coming to this world is to lead such a noble life that when it ends, we can attain ” Moksha” or “Salvation” in which our soul would amalgamate/ mix with the Supreme Soul and we would be then freed from the “84 lakh Feras” ( 8.4 million births) which we are supposed to take from one Yoni to another Yoni ( yoni means species here ),before merging back with him. Inshort, if we behave in a righteous ( religious ) manner throughout the span of our life, then we donot have to again get reborn in any living form/ species ever after and we would be freed from the cycle of birth and death, which would otherwise go on and on. Hence, our final destination is ” Moksha” / Attainment of the merger with the Supreme Soul. ” After this much discourse, the Swami left and I came back home, pondering over these questions still.
Science and Religion - do they conflict with each other or do they agree ?
Science and Religion – do they conflict with each other or do they agree ?

who am i -6

Scientists have tried very hard since decades to find out the answer to these questions — 1) From where do we come from before birth ? 2) To where do we go after death ? 3) Can death be cancelled or even postponed by a few hours ? 4) Why do all of us grow between the age of zero to 18 – 20 ? Who controls this growth ? 5) Why do flowers blossom after being a bud and then after blossoming, they eventually fade away ? 6) Why can’t even a billionaire, who has gathered so much wealth for himself for a lifetime, have to die, when his end time arrives ? Why can’t he prolong his life with the help of all his wealth and prosperity ?  7) Why does the Sun rise and set at almost the same time daily ? Who controls its timing ? 8) The earth has been moving round the sun since thousands of years in the same manner. Who controls this movement and why doesn’t its timing or speed of its revolution or its slanted angle, change even in a span of a millenium ? The answer to all these questions is mysterious, when we apply our minds. However, when we apply our heart to it, the answer becomes very very simple ! ” God does all the above things”. He is the sublime, omnipotent force, which prevails everywhere – from a very miniscule atom to the huge heavenly bodies like the planets and the Sun. Even scientists donot deny the possibility of an invisible force / controlling power which acts under certain circumstances.( Higgs boson is known as “God particle” only due to this reason.)

Even the greats like Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin and Johannes Kepler haven't been able to answer some basic questions related to humans !!
Even the greats like Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin and Johannes Kepler
haven’t been able to answer some basic questions related to humans !!
Did God really make all these ?
Did God really make all these ?

Inspite of the restless efforts made by physicists and other category scientists to get the ” highly precise answers” to the above questions, they have failed partly, since they cannot answer exactly as to WHO is responsible for all the above phenomenon. As Science prefers to remain away from anything which doesn’t have evidence, I think even after centuries it will keep searching for the precise answers to above questions, if the highly intelligent scientists keep thinking with their minds. They may come to some formulae and some derivations to reply to the above questions, but they will never be able to answer exactly about the identity of this WHO. The mystery about this “invisible force ” will remain unresolved for centuries to come, it seems.

There is as much of a mystery in this universe as its perennial beauty !!
